Rockview University offers education, agricultural sciences, business studies and health sciences at 10 Miles, Ndola, Chipata and Ndola Campuses.

In this view, Rockview University is looking for mature, proactive, highly motivated and result oriented Zambians to fill the following positions:

1. Design and Technology

Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Design and Technology.
Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans and practical projects that align with the curriculum and learning outcomes.
Supervise students’ projects, ensuring the integration of design theory with practical application.
Manage and maintain design labs, equipment, and materials, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
Stay updated on current trends, innovations, and technological advancements in design and technology fields.
Encourage and promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration across various design specializations.
Organize and coordinate design exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative projects with industry partners.
Assess student performance through practical work, assignments, exams, and project presentations.
Mentor and guide students on professional practices, including design portfolios and career development.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Design and Technology curriculum.
Participate in academic and departmental activities, including research, workshops, and conferences.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design and Technology (required).
Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Design and Technology or a related field (required).
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching or working in the field of Design and Technology.
PhD: A Doctorate (PhD) in Design and Technology or a related discipline is an added advantage.

Skills:

Strong understanding of materials, processes, and methods used in various design disciplines (e.g., graphic design, product design, industrial design, etc.).
Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and practical design techniques to students at various levels.
Experience with laboratory management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire students.
Creative problem-solving abilities and innovation in design thinking.
Familiarity with current design trends and emerging technologies in design and technology fields.
Ability to collaborate effectively with academic and industry professionals.
Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, student assessments, and curricular developments.

2. Primary Education Lecturer

Responsibilities:

Teach primary education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning outcomes.
Provide individual guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their academic and professional development.
Assess student performance through assignments, practical work, and exams.
Participate in curriculum development and enhancement initiatives.
Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
Assist with academic resources development, including tests, assignments, and course materials.
Engage in academic and departmental activities, including research, workshops, and conferences.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field (required).
Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in Primary Education or a related field (required).
PhD: A Doctorate (PhD) in Education or a related discipline is an added advantage.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or working in the field of primary education.

Skills:

Strong understanding of primary education curricula and teaching methodologies.
Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive teaching practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for teaching and fostering the academic growth of students.
